Nature stroll
Start your nature stroll by following one of the numerous routes on foot or by bike in the Loir Valley. The bicycle loop route “Between rivers by bike” will take you by the lush rivers of the Loir.
A mill in the Beauce natural region
You will come across a bucolic resting place by the water mill at Vouvray, to gather your strength with a picnic. You can then follow your countryside route to discover the windmill of Frouville-Pensier in the heart of La Beauce.
The Conie route
The next day you can follow the Conie on foot or by bike – the Conie is a pure and fast-flowing river that feeds reed-filled marshes. Numerous little villages with their own special character along the banks of the Conie are departure points for routes that let you admire the river and the roofs thatched with “rouche”, as the reeds are known locally.
The Marais at Donnemain-Saint Mamès is a classified site with a unique natural landscape right in the heart of the cultivated plain of La Beauce.
